Job Description Duties include, but not limited to:

Providing reference assistance and extended research consultation to students, faculty and staff. Directing students to materials found at other libraries and generating interlibrary loans as needed.

Planning, developing, promoting and conducting library lectures using a variety of teaching techniques to build information literacy and technology skills.

Assisting in the management of the library's print and electronic collections to support curricular and research needs. Selecting, organizing and annotating resources for library users.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in librarianship [MLS or MLIS] from an ALA accredited library school
Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in an academic library preferred
Demonstrated competency in reference work, preferably in an academic library
Experience with information literacy instruction
Knowledge of the principles of collection development work
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with multicultural students, faculty and staff
Commitment to diversity in higher education

Shift may include evenings and weekends.
