Job Description The Reference Librarian provides reference assistance to faculty, students, attorneys, and the general public; serves as faculty liaison to assigned faculty and staff of the College of Law; assists with Advanced Legal Research and other legal research instruction; creates and revises research guides and bibliographies; and assists with faculty current awareness services.
An M.L.S. from an ALA accredited institution is required. We will accept applications from candidates being granted M.L.S. by time of appointment.
Desired qualifications are: J.D. from an ABA accredited institution; experience as a reference librarian in a law library or other special library; public services experience in an academic law library; demonstrated legal research experience; demonstrated effective communication skills; and demonstrated customer service experience.
