Are you a problem solver? Southeastern Library Services (www.sls.lib.ia.us), located in Bettendorf, Iowa, is seeking an Administrator to oversee the consulting, continuing education, ILL and other services offered to libraries of all types in a 15 county region in southeastern Iowa. The Administrator seeks out and evaluates new library trends, consults on best practices to resolves conflicts and issues in libraries, and works collaboratively with libraries, library service areas and other agencies to implement projects and programs locally and regionally. We need a team player who has strong skills in leading through influence.
Minimum qualifications: MLS from an ALA accredited school, ability to qualify for a valid Iowa driver's license, ability to obtain and maintain a Level VI Iowa Public Librarian’s Certificate, available for extensive travel required throughout the SLSA, State of Iowa and nationally, seven years of progressively responsible experience as a professional librarian, with a minimum of three years in an director/administrator position or five years in a senior management position. Five years experience as a consultant in the library field may be substituted for administrative or senior management experience. Experience working in, or with, a variety of library types preferred.

Compensation: Starting salary $55,000-$65,000 DOE/DOQ, paid single health, dental and vision insurance, IPERS, plus paid vacation, sick leave and personal days.
