Job Description Manitowoc (WI) Public Library, overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan, seeks a dynamic children’s librarian to lead our Youth Services staff to provide even better service in the future. The successful candidate will understand theories of infant, child and adolescent learning and development, and put that understanding to work planning and implementing a wide-range of programs (peferably including oral storytelling traditions), as well as building upon an already outstanding collection. This person will supervise Youth Services staff, administer the department budget, serve on the library’s management team, and work with community organizations that serve children and families.

Flexible work hours will include some evening and weekend hours. Salary range is $47K to $53K with an excellent benefit package.

Masters in Library and Information Studies from an ALA accredited institution with a concentration is children’s literature and services is required. Experience as a supervisor is preferred.
