Job Description	Interim Public Library Director AIM Library and Information Staffing (AIM) is seeking an Interim Public Library Director in the Southern California region. The position will be responsible for the administration and management of the library including strategic planning, budgeting, community relations, overseeing library construction projects, and implementation of policies and goals established by the Library Board. The Interim Public Library Director is responsible for formulating goals and objectives that support the library’s mission and that meet both community and state library standards and laws. The Library Director is responsible for guiding and directing personnel, setting an example of leadership, and establishing a public presence in the library that extends to both staff and patrons. The position will report to the director of public library affairs. The Interim Public Library Director may possibly serve on the search committee for the permanent position. Hours may be 30 to 40 hours per week and the position may continue from 6 to 12 months.
