Job Description POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Catalogs Library materials both original and revising copy cataloging as appropriate.

Provides quality control for all bibliographic records.

Communicates with Supervisor and vendors to clarify and improve cataloging, processing and ordering.

Imports bibliographic records into Integrated Library System (ILS) and adjusts records to meet current Library requirements.

Serves as backup for the Processing Assistant II.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

MLS, MIS or MLIS from an ALA accredited program, Indiana Librarian Certificate 3 or higher certification or ability to obtain it within six months of start date. Cataloging experience preferred.

Technical: Comfortable in using computers, appropriate software and job related equipment..

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

A valid driverís license to get to and from outreach events

Use hands and fingers to handle books, AV, paper and technology

Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Push book carts weighing 75 lbs
