Mountain View, CA (November 6, 2009) - AIM Library & Information Staffing (AIM), the library and information center placement specialists, announced today the expansion of their services throughout the United States.  Regional representatives are now available to work directly with clients and applicants on a local level to help with recruitment services at all levels of library staffing and employment. 

"Connecting the right people in public, academic, school, and special libraries has been the focal point of our business for over twenty-five years," said Linda McKell, President and founder of AIM. "Now we can apply our expertise in a much broader market to help more people find jobs throughout the entire United States."

Based in California since 1984, AIM provides temporary staffing, direct hire placements, and consulting services to a wide array of clients.  To accomplish the nationwide expansion, AIM has created a Regional Management system with positions located in the West Coast, Southwest, Mountain States, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast areas of the country. Representing the Midwest is Suzanne Sabroski, and representing the West Coast is Deborah Hunt. Currently AIM is recruiting Reps for the other regions of the country.  "We are excited to have Suzanne and Deborah on board", noted McKell. "They each have excellent and diverse backgrounds in the information field and are able to understand the needs of both our clients and applicants."

The work that goes into hiring the right employee can be overwhelming, according to McKell, especially with the number of people who are looking for jobs in the current economy. AIM offers direct access to candidates with targeted skills while focusing on each client's particular needs.  AIM Reps do the matching legwork that saves time, money and effort for clients, and manage a proven process that produces results.  Full service recruitment, temporary, consulting and contract options are all available.

Likewise, looking for a job is challenging and daunting. AIM maintains a confidential applicant database that library and information professionals can be part of at no charge. Once an applicant is initially screened, they will be considered for temporary or permanent jobs in their regions, with their skill levels considered and their salary preferences noted.  A job seeker's opportunity for positions is only increased with a profile in the AIM database. It is also helpful for people considering a move into a different job but who are still employed. Strict confidentiality is maintained at all times in working with both applicants and clients.

AIM also offers a self-service approach for organizations who wish to do their own recruiting and hiring. Companies or libraries can post jobs on the AIM website in the Hot Jobs section for ten days at no charge and for a nominal fee after that. AIM seeks to provide information to applicants about job opportunities of all types, whether or not the hiring organization is an AIM client.
